Come and learn about the oldest breed of cattle on record in the world: Scottish Highland cows. See them at a relaxed pace, up close and personal! We have mature horned cattle and young yearlings that love to be brushed if you'd like to experience that.

The Cows (Moms)
FAWN
Fawn is the very top of the pecking order here.. but she still loves to be brushed!
CINNAMON
A protective and attentive mother, giving us some of our more petite babies!
GINGER
Ginger's bangs (dossan) are parted and she doesn't like to be brushed so there they stay! (See her eyes?)
SUGAR
Our sweet Sugar! She is nearly blind from an illness in the past but she is our BEST mom.
SPICE
Our wildest cow. Calves independently, diligently cares for her babies, but don't try to play with them!
PEPPER
Pepper is just a structurally nice highland momma. She births easily and really cares for her calves.
The Bulls (Dads)
The Herd Bull : Blackjack!
The New Bull : Finnegan!
Our Yearlings - One Boy (Steer)

Ruby
Named after our Grandmothers. Ruby is Deep Red with Yellow Highlights.
Our 2023 (Fall) Newborn Calves
Felix - the first offspring from our newest bull, Finnegan. Felix is so light in color!
TWINS!!! Pepper gave us twins last fall. Meet Bonnie and Clyde!
Our first (Spring) calf of 2024! Introducing, Annie! Three hours after walking into the woods, momma-cow Cinnamon walks back out with
Annie, all cleaned off and walking by her side!
Born: February 5, 2024
She looks "dun" or chocolate color. Time will tell.
The DEATH NAP
She likes to scare us and sleep like this!
Small but mighty!
Annie loves the attention from all her older "siblings"
Remark-Able Ranch Alumnus - Always in our hearts, but no longer in our pastures
These beautiful calves have been re-homed. We sure miss them but they are in wonderful new homes with families we are so happy to have met!
Felix has gone to a nice new home just 15 minutes from our ranch (June 2024).
Felix is the first offspring of Finnegan our silver bull and he has gone to live with a wonderful neighbor who is also a local country music singer! How cool is that?!
Blue Moon aka "Bluey"
Blue Moon is a lucky girl and has been re-homed to a gorgeous farm northwest of Indianapolis.
Blue Moon is so sweet!
One of the most gentle calves we've ever had! This one loves everyone.
Blue Moon aka "Bluey"
Beautiful Blue Moon is also a lucky lady. She has been re-homed to such a nice family on a new farm in Boone County, north west of Indianapolis.
Merry C. Born on Christmas Day!
Merry, a favorite of our Hug-a-Highland vistors, is re-homed to an amazing farm east of us in Henry County.
Espresso aka "Essy"
