Mental Health Focus,
NEW in 2025

This is our page devoted to hope!  Hope for improved mental health for individuals, families, and our communities. 

In the first full year of operation, the Remark-Able Ranch became a place where people from many walks of life would meet and the highland cows became directors of "divine appointments" (important connections with a seemingly divine purpose not of our making but wholeheartedly welcome and meaningful to us). 

One of our "divine appointments" came when we met the two individuals, Ms. Barbara McDannell and Ms. Dina Ridge, who are now actively participating in our planning for 2025 mental health related programs and are key to our improved understanding of mental health topics, including foster care, human trafficking, and more.

Did you know...  

• Foster Care 

  • 80% of youth in foster care have serious mental health issues​

  • the rate of PTSD is higher among foster care alumni than among American war veterans

• Human Trafficking​

  • the ​number of persons prosecuted for human trafficking has more than doubled in the US in the last decade

  • Survivors of trafficking are often forced to commit crimes they wouldn't if they had not been exploited.
